I kept thinking to myself “why are you rushing me? Why not start me out on the floor and just pay me the hours to do these videos at home?!!” The assistant manager made me feel super uncomfortable! You could tell she was the bosses girl. The manager was sitting in the back consistently asking me how far along I was. The environment was a tad bit hostile and so cliquéy!! What you said about taking too long to finish the videos I also experienced there was a girl who also started her first day the same day as me and was treated significantly better because she finished her videos in “record time”. It was too bad too since I actually wanted to work there. Hey! Fellow quitter here and I too quit after actually one day. The only thing I’m worried about is having to return my apron as I don’t think I could return to that store. I ended up emailing the district manager to quit without notice and let her know and how the store manager acted towards me. I got basically no training as the videos didn’t cover much and I rushed through them due to the managers complaining. I felt excluded and whenever I’d try to ask someone something I’d just be handed off to someone else who also didn’t want to answer my questions. Day three and I just felt I didn’t get along with my coworkers. We’d never met before as an associate manager hired me on so it wasn’t the best first impression. On day two I was doing training videos in the back room and overheard the manager talking about me, complaining that I was taking so long to watch these simple videos and just bad mouthing me to some other employee. I was super excited for this job because I heard great things about working for B&BW from people I know, but was really let down. I was recently hired on as a seasonal associate and, after only 3 days, decided to quit.
